The Wines from The Steve Cochran Show – Hooch for your Momma

Hi all!

Here are the wines I remember from today's visit. I'll put more up in my newsletter…

Skouras Moschofilero 2004 – Pelleponese, Greece

Cheap Bubbly – Proseccos (any producer) from Italy or Cava (any producer) from Spain

A couple I like are Nino Franco "Rustico" Prosecco NV and Cristalino Brut NV Cava

nicer bubbly for Mom's day

Roederer Estate L'Ermitage 1996 – "baby Cristal" Anderson Valley, CA

LBV Ports or Late Bottled Vintage Ports – ports that give you the style of fancier vintage ports without the required aging and at a cheaper price.

I like Warres 1995 LBV Port and its around $22.

Alternatives to Pinot Grigio –

Terruzi & Puthod Vernaccia di San Gimignano – probably a 2004

or wines from other Italian regions – try a Gavi or a Soave from any producer, just make sure they are 2004 or 2005.

I'll write more later, but that's what I remember for now….
