Crazy Closures Part 2 – The Zork

First screwcaps and now…the Zork? Yet another attempt to ensure comsumers get a wine free of that cork taint/ moldy basement smell – the Aussies (who else?) bring us the “zork”.

The plastic cork portion looks much like the cork and plug top in a port bottle – made 100% of a plastic/rubber-ish substance with no cork in sight. The Zork also involves a spiral plastic peel off capsule where the foil would normally be. No need for a corkscrew and the zork reseals the bottle perfectly. Pop the unfinished wine right back in the fridge, no problem.

Oh wait, diva dish readers probably don’t have “unfinished” wine. Well – for your wussy friends maybe…
